Enjoyed this at a wine bar in Charlotte.
Pale straw color with a nose only slightly grassy and suggesting also white grapefruit and possibly verbena. On the palate a refreshing citrus tingle, lingering flavor. It tastes quite pure with grapefruit notes, lemon and grass. Would match nicely with many seafood dishes, maybe even sushi. (This restaurant is noted for seafood and sushi so their wines are generally chosen to complement that type of cuisine.) I liked it (better than the Selaks Sauvignon Blanc I had in Florida although that was not bad either).

Sounds delicious, and I'm going to have to try it, if only to get myself to stop thinking of Joan Crawford every time I see that name....

This is the wine I was looking for at Thanksgiving. I see that Total wine has the 2003 in stock now. I'll be getting some soon.

KC maintains a very consistently high standard in my experience. His Unoaked Chardonnay is excelent as well.

Opened a bottle of this tonight- one of my finds from sam's club. I didn't get any of the grass you described, but definite grapefruit and green apple- and also the tingling, linger of grapefruit. Very nice wine. I think I'll pick up a few more at the $8.11 price.

btw- I found the Louis Jadot Beaujolais to be a bit thin. Almost like watery kool-aid without any sugar. Got a hint of cherry. But for the price, $1.91, I would prefer that to 2 Buck Chuck or any of the knock offs.
