I'm a total rookie when it comes to choosing wine when it comes to dinner. Listed below are the different entrees I will choose from at the restaurant I am attending tomorrow. After the entrees is the list of wines available. Could you tell me which wines would go the best with each different entree? And what type of wine would you recommend before dinner is served? I don't want to order a wine that wasn't intended for pre- or post-dinner. Thank you for your help!!!

1.)wood grilled beef tenderloin with chickpea panisse, braised picholine olives, red wine and fresh bay

2.)seared loin of venison with garnet yams, hedgehog mushrooms, braised celery and cranberry-apple chutney

3.)wood grilled big eye tuna with oven cured tomatoes, shell bean puree, artichoke barigoule and candied meyer lemon vinaigrette

Sebastion, I don't care for the wine choices but, pair the tuna with the Martinelli Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot. The '99 Renwood 'Sierra Series' California Zinfandel is really tasty but not a good pair with your choices. Can't speak to the other wines though.
