Padthaway, South Australia
Fruit exclusively from Longbottom Family Vineyards. Winemakers Sarah and Sparky Marquis. Imported by Grateful Palate.

I had three bottles of this on hand and wanted to see if it was still drinking well before giving bottles as gifts to a relative and a friend on my visit to Annapolis, MD area.

14.5% alcohol; viscous
Deep, dark purple; opaque. Nose of dark fruits including purple grapes. On the palate, singing with ripe dark fruit with enough structure to avoid jamminess in my book. However, still a bit fruity for pairing with steak. Maybe with lamb or just by itself. I would say it hasn't lost anything in the last couple years and may have improved slightly. I don't see any reason to hold onto it although the label indicates that with proper cellaring it will develop and improve for many years. One of my better Grateful Palate purchases.

WoW, you might need to try the other two just to make sure before you give any to friends

Too late, engineer.
