This is one big wine in spite of the 11 years in bottle...

- color - dark, black/purple, inky color
- nose - black currant, oaky, peppers and spices galore
- taste - peppery, peppery, peppery, black licorice, spices
galore. Woody taste of cedar and oak. Tannins
are soft (as it should be after all these years) and,
although alcoholic, it was nicely integrated.

Tons of sediments too... bonus!

It went well with the rare - medium steak au pavoir we had this evening. If you're a Shiraz fan... this is a nice glass of vino! Admittedly, I'm not a huge Shiraz fan so this isn't one of my favorites but I can admire it for what it is...

FWIW, it was a gold medal winner at the Melbourne Wine Show.

So many wines... so little time!

Cheers
