Brother in law opened this last night and following the Pirramimma was somewhat disappointing. A good dollop of oak on the nose with black fruit and sweet vanilla. Dark purple/ruby with garnet on the rim. Very rustic and astringent, tannis smoothed out a little after 1 1/2 hours. The wine seemed out of balance with predominate oak flavors and upfront astringency mixed with blackberry and some cassis. Not a bad wine but not worth the $24 he paid. Hopefully it will pull itself together in a few years.
