Probably the best structure in an Aussie shiraz I've had in 5 years. Meaty, tannic, yet well balanced. Lovely texture and the finish is a 10. IWC gave it 96 points and I personally gavve it a 98. Get it while you can for half the price of Grange. This is made by Daryl Groom, the former wine maker for Pensfold Grange in case you find it familiar in style.

Sounds good! What is the price for it in your area?

Agreed. This wine is a stellar baby by the former wine maker at Pensfold Grange. Its going for about $35 in our area.

In between Grange and his current venture, Groom came to America and saved Geyser Peak from a slow death. The recommeded list price for his Shiraz is $38 U.S.

Shared this bottle with our Sunday night group, pairing with BEEF fajitas, guacamole, Spanish rice, homemade salsa, bean soup. Also brought Botter Prosecco and Gran Familia Rioja to back up the Shiraz, 'cause we're a thirsty bunch. Echo the TN from Stellawine last year. Was surprised at the blueberry note, but then I know zip-squat about Aussie Shiraz. Big hit among those present.... they kept turning the bottle up, looking for a last drop. Very nice indeed! Thanks, Jackie & PW!
