Opened this last Monday, our Valentine celebratory day. Paired with top sirloin steak. Dark purple in the glass, opaque. Vanilla and dark berry on the nose. Flavors follow nose with the addition of more vanilla! Blackberry and dark cherry with hints of dark chocolate and cherry stem. The wine never really came together with the oak (vanilla) really dominating...a little too much for me. Drank alone, with certain company, I could see this as a crowd pleaser but not so good with food. 13.5% Alc/vol. Don't remember what I paid.

Haven't had one of these for a few years, but I recall thinking these were like Silver Oak wannabes with their preponderance of oak.
