The nose is dominated by rich, dark mocha and a dusty perfume of intense plum and rasberry aromas. The palate is long and elegant with blueberry, coffee and aniseed the predominant flavours and a hint of dried fruit on the finish. The entire package is framed by chewy tannins and tightly knit chocolate/vanilla oak.

Again nice notes Mark but it would make for more interest if you posted the retail for these wines and if they're available here in the US. Cheers, WW

Not sure I know what you mean.

Do you want me to include the retail price ? I actually don't have that info on many occassions and would nopt know where it could be obtained in the states, although I suposse I could post a link to winesearcher. com if that doesn't infinge your posting rules ?

Yes, the approximate retail price is, by informal custom, typically included in tasting notes. I know when I read a tasting note, I want to know whether it's a $15 dollar wine or a $50 dollar one. Likewise, many like to know whether a wine is distributed where they are -- if it isn't, then you don't end up on some wild goose chase looking for something that isn't available. Of course, sometimes you don't know one or the other piece of info (if a wine was a gift, for example). In that case, oh well. By the way, a belated welcome to the board.

The 2005 is around $60 and a WA 93...it is a 80%/20% shiraz/cabernet blend.

...and its really damn good. A 93 is too low.

Sorry, it is a blend. Hasty notes !
