Two glasses of this at Chris's Steak House with Caesar salad and grilled mahi mahi, broccoli and rice pilaf. My first impression was that it was very fragrant. I found lemon or lemon-lime meringue note plus a bit of gooseberry. Not too grassy unless it has a hint of lemongrass. Some pungency and pucker but pleasantly so. Some viscosity on the glass and a tingly quality on the tongue. Long finish. To me it didn't become tiresome with the second glass but remained refreshing. I've like recent vintages of Cloudy Bay (2007 and 2008) better than some from five or six years past but I'm not certain that it is worth the premium purchase price over other Marlborough SBs.

WOW, I to have found Cloudy Bay to be quite a refreshing sauv blanc. Tasted with some oysters in a half shell in NYC side by side to some Goldwater SB and it was really interesting and had complexity and longevity in the glass.
