Served at a church fundraiser where it paired nicely with German cucumber salad and warm German potato salad (made with vinegar rather than mayonnaise and with chopped green onions and crumbled bacon.) Pale yellow-green color with transparency. The nose carries lemon and grapefruit aromas. Lemon drops on the tastebuds and grapefruit present but not as dominant as in some vintages. Nicely crisp and acidic. I put the screwcap back on and took home about 1/4 bottle. It was also nice two days later with breaded baked pollock and a mixed salad with cucumber ranch dressing. The attendees at the fundraiser prefered this to the 2009 Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough.

I had had the 2008 on hand for awhile so don't know what I originally paid for it but both the current releases of Kim Crawford and Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc were reduced at the grocery store where I shop. The Nobilo was reduced from $13.99 to $11.99 and I think the Kim Crawford was maybe $15.99.
