Purchased for about $12 or $13 the bottle in a mixed case. As low as $10 a bottle by the case in some places. 14.5% alcohol
A blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and shiraz put together by Sarah Marquis, wife of Sparky Marquis and imported to USA by Dan Philips of Grateful Palate.
color: purple to purple-red at edges
nose: dark fruits, spicy undertones
in the mouth: fulsome juicy fruits, exuberant impact, slight peppery edge, integrated tannins
Turns the tongue purple.
Very nice with sirloin tip steak and Greek salad. Glad I stocked up on the 2001 after missing out on the 2000 vintage of this.

I popped one last night....really awfull stuff, so anyone who wants to get rid of this swill send all you have to me and you won't have to suffer while drinking it.

Ok,ok...so I lied. This wine is awsome! Big, rich and complex. Flavors of rich blackberry and creme de cassis with notes of chocolate and coffee, a hit of spice and a long finish. No doubt the best $12 Aussie I've ever had. The only fault was that it drinks slightly hot from the 14.5% alcohol. Truly worth double+ the price and not for the faint of heart.

A lovely, luscious wine. Their 2001 Shiraz is also a joy.
