1998 Peachy Canyon, Paso Robles, Sangiovese ($15.00). A huge wine for the price. They recommended a 3 to 5 year wait. Should have taken their advice. Seem to be getting more and more wines in this category. What happened to the 90% ready to drink thing?

Regardless it was still super as is. Licorice and overipe plums on the nose, a ton of fruit upfront, moderated tannins and more than ample cripness on the palate, and a tooth rattling finish. Cut through the tomato sauce in the leftover Bistecca Alla Pizzaiola like a cold knife through olive oil. If you have one or want to get some, think '04, and you'll really have something to write home about.

IK, haven't had their Sango but can attest that their Piera Siempre Cabe are HUGE boobies that will give a protective coating to your teeth. Had a 95 several months ago and had to leave it open 36 hours to become drinkable. WW
