We took this to a NY dinner party with varied Italian fare. Light purple to burgundy in color. Deep nose of black plums and raisins, with some chocolate, and flavors followed. Very layered and mouthfilling, with subtle smoke, earthiness, and great gobs of fruit, all wrapped in smooth vanilla oak. Very nice wine and a hit at the party. Left the bottle so the hosts could find it again, so I don't have the alc. %. Paid $21 for it at Whole Foods. FWIW, RP gave it a 91 and WA a 90. Certainly, I'll look for it again.

Oops! Sorry about the duplication of TNs on this -- I just saw Drew's TN after posting this!

I actually like multiple tasting notes on the same wine. Lets you read others description and interpretation. Also sometimes get a flavor I can't distinguish or label so I don't report it and you read a TN and "boing" now you know. The Zenato is one of my go to favorites.
