15% Sangiovese. Ruby/amber color. Aromas of oak, smoke & red fruit. Med/full bodied w/ upfront fruit followed by lovely blend of blackberry/dark cherry, smooth oak/smoke & spice flavors. Burst of drying tannins & balanced acidity mid-palate. Tannins fade to clean finish w/ lingering red fruit.

Yet another simple, enjoyable M d'A wine. Picked this one up because the recommended pairing is roast chicken & that was on our menu. Opened an hour before supper. Wine opened up even more in the glass. Perfect match with our herb roasted chicken, homemade bread stuffing & veges. The fat present in the roast chicken balanced the tannins.

2nd day, tannins smoothed out. More red fruit than blackberry. cp
