She threw me a fastball tonight, high & inside: "We're cleaning up leftovers tonight.... ham, corn on the cob, zucchini and yellow squash, brocolli, garlic bread.... Good luck!" (on a wine pairing).

Had picked this dude up at Costco and figured this was as good a time as any to give it a try.

Deep ruby in the glass, bright red fruit and a touch of forest floor on the nose; lots more red fruit up front and in the middle, fading on a lip-smacking finish that clears the palate. Pefecto with dinner! 14% alc/vol and about $13 at Costco. Gotta buy more!

Tonight with Italian meatballs prepared stroganof-style with pasta and mushroom sauce. Wonderful.
