- Drew - 03-28-2002 A red wine of Molise. With a picture of St. George slaying the dragon. Clear bright garnet in color. Wonderful strong nose of milk chocolate covered cherries. Dark earthy cherries dominate the flavor profile with a bitter component (I wish I could better describe that type of flavor, but cannot). A long tannic finish with rich acidity makes this a winner at $8.99. 12.5% Alc/vol. Matched well with homemade pizza with marinara sauce, Parmesano Reggiano, apple smoked mozzarella, sauteed red pepper and onion and grilled garlic/black pepper chicken. YUM! Friendly, and very tastey. Barnesy |
