- Capocheny - 05-06-2005 Dark garnet colored with a tinge of lightness around the rim... nose of dark fruit, bit of bing cherries. Fruitiness was going downhill fast, IMHO. 13% alcohol... tannins softened over a short time... Personally, I was expecting more out of this glass of wine. But, then... it's only 10 years old! The storage temperature is above ideal so it may mature more readily. - Capocheny - 05-07-2005 Greetings Innkeeper, Yes, the 375 IS ready... however, after the wine warmed up a tad, it did taste a bit better than my first impression. WOW, I hope you enjoy your 750 in a year or two... I realize the larger bottles tend to last much longer than the smaller bottles. [img]http://www.wines.com/ubb2/smile.gif[/img] So, yours should be delicious! My cellar runs a tad bit on the cooler side as opposed to the warm side. It's usually about 53 - 55 degrees at the outside... Cheers |
