This producer continues to get high ratings but personally I think this wine has gone downhill in the past few vintages. Fairly straight forward flavors of raspberry and dark cherry, slightly cloying. The acidity seems lacking and the wine seems flabby as a result. Pricing has stayed the same though,$8 per in these parts. I may try another bottle to rule out bottle variation. 14%Alc/vol.

Drew, when this wine was posted on the board a while ago I was among the few-if any others-to say it is merely ok. I never thought it was worth even its low price.

When I buy Primitivo I look for those from Manduria (the place, not the producer).

I finally had one of these a couple weeks ago. I agree, it seemed just ok.
