We are having a Piedmonte dinner around two older Gaja wines, but can't find any reviews. The wines:

1982 Gaja Barbaresco
1984 Gaja Barbaresco

Neither are single vineyard wine.

Please post any reviews and/or tasting notes. I will gladly summarize and repost.

I understand that the '84 piedmont was a very bad vintage all around and that '82 was very good but not as great as the '90 which I had last year. However, Gaja is considered one of the best wines makers in this area and you have a chance on the '82 but a long shot on the '84.
I feel the '82 will depend on how well it's been stored all these years.
Welcome aboard.
By the way, the '90 was great, I wish I bought a case.
