Ruby-red in color, rimmed with orange. Violets, vanilla and cherries in the nose. In the mouth, this wine has a very smooth, almost velvety feel. Flavors of cherry, plum, oak and almond fill the mouth with a suprisingly full bodied feel(for a chianti). The wine finishes long, with soft tannins and mild acidity.

I am suprised at how much I like this wine considering how much I found the 2001 to be so mediocre. $15 a bottle and worth it. It is an organically produced wine for those that care.
