would you know the value of this champagne,says 68 on bottom of bottle, got as a gift 1989. I would appreciate your help.

Don't have any idea on the value, but it's a cava from Penedés, in Spain (close to Barcelona), so perhaps the moderators can move it to a better forum for you. [img]http://38.118.142.245/ubb2/smile.gif[/img]

I assume you mean the one with the cute little pewter coaster type thing on the bottom. The 68 on the bottom doesn't mean anything. You have a non vintage sparkling wine from Spain (as Dan said it's a Cava, not a Champagne). The current version retails for about $30 - $35, though there are some retailers out there who are trying to get $60. It should have been drunk soon after you received it as a gift.

It was a gift--open it; maybe it still has legs (but don't bet on it).
