A very, very nice borderline (geographically) Chianti Classico, this is bright ruby in the glass and a heady nose of red & black fruit, with soft red fruit on the palate, lip-smacking mouthfeel and moderate finish. I could happily sniff this stuff all night long! With pan-seared sausage in EVOO with red & green peppers & pearl onions, 13.5% alc/vol and $29.99 at Costco. Deserves a more robust 'mater-based menu, but was itchin' to give it a try (patience ain't exactly me long suit).

Felsina Fontallaro is one of my favorite Tuscans. I have a half bottle (not sure of vintage) that I purchased in DC and will probably open this fall or winter.
