Friends came over with the kids and wanted something Italian. Wrong bottle to bring up. It was SOOOOO Tight....only opening up after about 6 hours of decanting.

Color is a dark red garnet. Nose is more like underbrush (my weekend with the leaves adn bushes makes even Big Macs smell this way so it could be me..), red cherries, earthiness, very high toned acidity, some glycol juicy and a bit tannic. Nice wine for the price of $34. Could in fact be a case buy while waiting for its bigger brother due out in three years.
