2008 Genco Montepulciano d'Abruzzo ($6.99 Whole Foods). Alcohol level: 13%. This is one of a whole line available at Whole Foods, and not bad at all. In fact, quite enjoyable. Haven't seen them elsewhere so it may be a house brand or a quasi house brand.
We enjoyed it with same dish we had the Dolcetto with last week (lamb shanks and pasta), and it matched even better.
