I'm preparing an italian dinner for my girlfriend and her family : insalata caprese, chicken piccata, and angelhair pasta. Which wine type of wine would anyone recommend at a moderate price?

Look for Central to Southern Reds like Aglianico del Vulture, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Ciro or a nice Nero D'Avola from Sicily and you'll be fine...
