Another interesting wine in the night...finished off five wines, all italian (or somewhat...the Zin could be counted as a primovito?)

This wine has evolved much since I tasted and bought it. Strong orange marmalade nose with a hint of caramel. On the palate, the same but caramel is a bit more pronounced. High acidity helps the the high thickness. Medium finish. Interesting and nice, but $39 for half a bottle and I'm running to an icewine.

Do you know what grapes go into this? Is it like an Amarone?

I think that it is Zibibbo....love that name!
