Vermentino di Sardegna. 13.5% alc. $16 per. Clean see through pale yellow in the glass, nose of a bit of earthy-oak on top of light citrus mix.
An interesting entry reminescent of lemon-lime soda without the carbonation. Has a fairly mild oakiness in mid palate and the finish is a bit stronger oak, yet still mild; well balnced with the crispness that carries through the finish. Simple and tasty.
Enjoyed with a thin spaget topped with (as per Foodie's rec) diced chicken grilled in OO and garlic sauce, herbs and a dash of cajun red pepper.sides of fresh raw veggies and french bread slathered with garlic butter. Also had freshly picked canadice grapes that clashed badly with the wine, grapes too sweet I guess, (saved most of them for another day). As IK might say, A nice way to spend a Sat evening. WP

Have enjoyed this wine in the past, though we usually have it with haddock.
