- dahl - 04-14-2004 A friend is having a cheesecake tasting party and I wanted to know what kind of wine to bring. ------------------ http://dollhaus.sassygals.net http://www.sassygals.net/recipes - Thomas - 04-14-2004 Look for Madeira (Verdelho or Bual). Get the real stuff from the island of Madeira not the stuff from California. Oh, and hold the candied fruit on top--personal opinion. Actually, I could not come up with more than two cheescakes that I would have in a tasting: the regular one, with nothing on top, and espresso cheesecake (my only allowable deviation from cheesecake). All the others are, to me, aberrations. Good luck and do try the Madeira. [This message has been edited by foodie (edited 04-14-2004).] |
