- VouvrayHead - 09-12-2009 $30, 13.5% A very enjoyable Barbaresco. Beautifully perfumed: dried flowers, cherries, and something of a mix between black licorice and tar. Palate is fairly light-weight and slightly sweet with silky cherries and dark Nebbiolo dusky spice in the background. Fine tannins and good balance. Claire thought it was a bit too tart, but I liked it, especially with the food (gf vegan mac and cheese with a squash, edamame and tomato quick ragout.) - wondersofwine - 09-14-2009 Nice note, VH. |
