Bright ruby in the glass. Nose of raspberry. Raspberries on the entry, moving to bing cherry towards the finish, which is not terribly long. A touch of what I can only describe as "steel" on the finish, though that descriptor is a bit odd, since I've never tasted steel. Light-weight wine, not terribly complex, but a pleasant quaffer. Had it with a simple "kitchen sink" pasta with OO, roasted tomatoes, roasted red and yellow peppers, some garlic-stuffed olives, capers, some grilled squash and zucchini, and artichoke hearts. I call it that because everything in the kitchen save the sink goes in. Anne liked it, and the bottle disappeared quite quickly. 12.5% alc. Paid $12 for it at Whole Foods. Imported by Banfi. We'll probably buy it again to have with grilled fare or more likely with pizza.

Both the wine and the pasta sound quite delicious.
