13.9% alcohol; purchased at the winery in August 2005--about $30 and they sell out of most of their Pinots. Winery is located next to Torii Mor in the Dundee Hills and I would have passed it by if Dananne hadn't told me they really enjoyed the wines there.
Purple-red color; not opaque. High lifted fruit note on nose. Slightly chewy mouthfeel but smooth on palate. Dark fruits come across-dark cherries and plums. Good enough to savor on the palate before swallowing. Very pleasurable!
My personal rating for this wine would be 89 or higher and I don't give out many 90's.
The wine shop where I buy about 90% of my wines has sold the Lange Pinot Gris. I need to convince them to carry the Pinot Noir. (They do get very pricy as you go into Dundee Hills Estate Pinot Noir, Freedom Hill, Yamhill Vineyards, etc. ($60 at the winery). But I feel the Pinot Noir Reserve is worth the dollar figure.

Nice TN, Jane. Glad you enjoyed it. Ours is still waiting patiently in the cellar for the right time, but after reading the above it might come sooner rather than later. We'll be back there for a visit this coming summer when we head back. I've been talking to a few of the shops around here, as well. We've also flirted with the idea of getting on their list, but as you said, the prices really start to climb.
