Almost purple in color, with a nose of spicy plums, black cherry, and a bit of barnyard. It smells like a RRV PN. Black cherry flavors are delivered in a velvet glove, and the finish picks up some vanilla flavors from the use of new oak. Consumed over three days, and it held up very well. Alc. 14.5%. I think it runs about $40, but it was a gift from a friend who we entertained on the porch on Halloween. We didn't make it there for a visit when out in August, though Wonders recently did. She has notes on the '05s in the travel thread.
