What a banger to start the 4th festivities with!
Hadn't had the pleasure before from this Arroyo Grande producer. Young and fruit forward but the background players bode well for this sucker. Brite medium ruby. Nose primarily of red berries with a hint of red plum. A hint of spice and dirt linger on the back of the palate. Am going back tomorrow for a copuple of boxes. What a buy. 89/94. 18 by the box. 14.1% alc. WW

at a huge tasting two years ago, i got to this table too late to try this pinot -- they were out. but the distributor said great things about this bottling. and he was pouring probably 10 wines, and the rest were all still there, so by singling out the bottling that he was out of, i figured he was being honest rather than a salesman. have yet to come across it, but will start looking again...

Picked up my 2 boxes this AM and opened one for lunch today. REALLY good stuff. Will use this sucker as me house pinot for awhile. WW

Have not found the regular bottling but did snag a bottle of the 2005 Reserve for $39. I'll hold for awhile and pop at a time to brighten up Eileen's day.
