Before leaving Charlotte on Monday I had an enjoyable lunch at Ratcliffe on the Green.
Azalea starter salad (very large portion for a starter!) had iceberg lettuce, small chips of smoked bacon, very small diced bits of Roma tomatoes, and Maytag Bleu dressing.
Followed that with Farmers Market Pasta that was absolutely delicious but again more than I could eat (raddiatore pasta, garlic, arigula, diced zucchini, wild mushrooms and tomato cream sauce).

2002 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
One of the more expensive wines on their wines by the glass list but I had heard Kosta Browne was good and wanted to try it.
Very dark purple-red color. Morello cherry/black raspberry nose. Nose carries over to the flavors. Builds on the palate, lingers on the finish. Fruity, elegant, somewhat suggestive of a "feminine" Burgundy.
Very nice!
