Since we're heading out to Sonoma and Napa in August, we're getting into the mood by drinking some of our wines from that region. Plus, it clears the decks in the cellar, which is already starting to burst (particularly in the oversized bottle section with all the Pinots).

Light garnet in color. Decanted 30 minutes before 1st pour and through evening. Nose of black cherry and smoke. Soft in the mouth, with light, pretty cherry fruit and white tea flavors, and a hint of vanilla shows up on the finish. A very polished and graceful wine, but nothing about it really stands out. 14.2% alc. We paid $50 locally. FWIW, W&S 90 and WE 84.
