Rich and dark appearance in the glass. Floral, exotic spice nose. The flavors are exotic also with spice box and oriental 5 spice flavors mingling with tea, cola, and clove infused dark berry and strawberry flavors. More complex and layered than most Pinots I drink. 14.1%Alc/vol. $28 OC retail price. My sense is that I opened it too early given the tannins still present and it's evolution in the glass. Wonderful Pinot and a treat this evening with freshly caught bluefin tuna seared rare with shrimp and scallops prepared simply with creamed garlic, french sea salt and cracked pepper. Served with a mixed green salad and twice baked garlic and orange pepper potatoe. Dessert was a slice of Blond Giraffe Key Lime Rum Cake we've been saving for a couple of months in the fridge. All delicious and a wonderful evening with wife and friend.
