We picked this bottle up in the Willamette Valley this summer prior to the offline after tasting it at a little tasting room in McMinnville.

Bright, transluscent ruby color with a wonderful nose that filled the room with ripe raspberry and "Christmas candle" scents. Light and lively with good acidity framing pretty red fruits and red spices with a touch of clove on the finish. Much more going on than one should have reason to expect in a $15 wine. I'm guessing a small production, but if you see a bottle pick it up. Simply yummy stuff. Alc. 13%.

Hersey is the name of the owner's chocolate lab, and a picture graces the label.

Sounds scrumptious! And I love retrievers--especialy golden retrievers but the labrador retrievers are great too.
