Light garnet color all the way to the rim. The nose was "earthy" and had aromas of dark cherry. Friut was apparent on the entry with a good balance, to my palate of acidity, tannis and fruit. Was a good match with grilled, panfried salmon with butter and lemon. $19.99 at a local merchant.

I like the basic Argyle Pinot Noir myself. It usually has that dark cherry element.
