Have no ideer whenced this row is but 'tis sure as the blazes some good grapes.15.3% SLO and 84.7% Monterrey Grapes. Brite ruby. Nose of earth, cherries, stawmberries and spices. Solid entry, medium-weight center and a hefty 4+ lapper finish.Needs another 2-4 to completely evolve. Will check them out tomorrow AM and try to find out whom they be. Lovely juice. 91/93. 22 by the box. 14.3% alc. WW

Opened another of these lil' jewels today with my grilled steak soup. Lovely juice. Think this has the stuffing to go 4-6 with no problem. Ordering another box. WW

New operation -- first release. Just had lunch with the winemaker. My note:

2002 Row Eleven, Pinot Noir, San Luis Obispo/Mendocino, California, $24. It is no secret that Syrah wannabe Pinots are not at the top of my list. This one is right up my alley. Medium bodied with terrific acidity, the oak is complimentary here. A blend of both Pommard and Dijon clones, the wine screams black cherries, brown sugar and spice, finishing long and lovely. A great start for Row Eleven; 91/92.
