This was much tastier than the Confuron that I posted on yesterday. As my wife said, it just tastes yummier right now, even though it may not be the "better" wine.

Bright ruby color, nose of raspberries and cherries. Silky texture in the mouth, with plums joining the raspberries and cherries with a touch of vanilla. No real "forest floor" or earthy elements, just nicely rounded fruit. Finish not short, but not long either. I'd just say it's refreshing. All around, seems well put together and is drinking nicely. Decanted 30 min. Alc. 13.8%, but not present. Purchased locally at $22. Drank as a stand alone in the evening after a Mexican food dinner that did not involve wine. Don't know if I can find the 1999 any more, but it was good enough to prompt me to look for the '00.
