- Innkeeper - 05-05-2000 Since it is Cinco de Mayo, we celebrated with Gambas al Ajillo (Shrimp with garlic sauce). Had it on whole wheat toast triangles, a salad with hazelnut oil and raspberry vinegar dressing, and a bottle of 1997 Duck Pond, Fries' Family Cellars, Willamette Valley, Pinot Noir. Nothing could have been more perfect. Very glad we didn't go with a white, even Riesling, which we considered. - hotwine - 05-05-2000 That's an interesting menu! Glad you made the right choice with the Pinot. |
