Purchased from Woodland Hills Wine Company (CA) which said they were from a supplier closeout sale. This was one of eleven wines sampled at a church fundraiser I hosted (and about one glass was left in the bottle for me to finish at home.) Line up was
Classique Carousel Sparkling Wine Brut, n.v. from France, a 2007 Lioco Charles Heintz Vineyard Chardonnay, a 2005 Carillon Puligny-Montrachet, Hob Nob Pinot Noir, 2007 or 2008 Ancien Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (Gilbert Perez Vineyard), the Pommard 1er cru), 2007 Joseph Swan Syrah (replacing a 2007 Joseph Swan Mourvedre that was accidentally broken while in the church refrigerator), a Dashe Zinfandel from Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County (current release), an S.A. Prum Essence Riesling from Mosel, Germany, a 2007 (?) Foris Muscat Frissante from Rogue Valley, Oregon and a Sandeman Tawny Port. We had various cheeses with crackers to try throughout the night with various wines, ham to go with the Pinot Noirs, and lamb bites in a sauce (ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar and dry mustard) to go with the Syrah and Zinfandel. Dessert was apple turnover to go with the Riesling, Muscat and Tawny Port.

The De Montille Pommard "Les Pezerolles" was a light burgundy color, semi-transparent. It decidely showed cherries on the nose and palate. A touch of rose petal. Juicy, feminine style for Pommard but one which I really enjoy. Other reviewers on CellarTracker have compared it to Volnay or Beaune. Very enjoyable as a stand-alone sipper but also offers the versatility of a food-friendly wine. Nice balance of delicate fruit without any over-ripeness. Probably one of my top three wines of the evening.
