Had a glass of this at Papa's, Myrtle Beach, SC with corn and crab chowder and doublecut porkchop with Tuscan stuffed sausage, wild mushrooms, red cabbage, and applewood smoked bacon and a small corn souffle.
Food was very good.
Lighting was dim in the restaurant. The wine appeared dark purple red, nearly opaque. Nose: a touch of black currant along with dark cherrie. Taste: dark Bing cherries and blackberries. Quite firm body and a lasting finish for an American Pinot Noir. I think I paid $6.50 or $7.00 for the glass of wine. It worked with the food but will not become my favorite Pinot Noir.
