- winoweenie - 04-20-2006 Medium deep ruby. Nose reticent but started to come around after an hour. Brite cherry, soft strawberry with a lite earthy note. All come over on the taste along with meaty, mineral notes. Loaded with silky tannins that will take this wine another 10-15 to fully develop. Gorgeous juice. If I tasted this wine blind would swear it was a Burgandy from probably the Pommard region. 91/93. 24. 12.5% alc. WW - dananne - 04-20-2006 Sounds good, and I've enjoyed reading your notes about this winery for several years. I have never seen them in these parts, and suspect it would have to be ordered from the winery. Wonder if they ship to GA yet . . . At any rate, this post reminds me that I've got a Pommard that I've been waiting to open. Must do it this weekend! - winoweenie - 04-21-2006 With you in mind Dan I asked Jeff if he would ship to Ga. He can and will. Go to his website at www.santacruzmountainvinryard.com. WW (He has just started shipping into Az) [This message has been edited by winoweenie (edited 04-21-2006).] - dananne - 04-21-2006 Many thanks! - winoweenie - 10-05-2006 Opened another of this beauty for lunch yesterday Same 'ole, same ole'.
