2000 Casa Julia Estate, D. Bosler (Birdnest), Pinot Noir, Casablanca Valley (Approx $10 Blue Hill Wine Shop). This is the first South American (Chile) pinot we've ever tried. Very nice. Gives you concentrated, but not over concentrated red cherries on the nose and upfront. A little earthiness in the suprisingly complex structure and smooth tannin. A very plesant finish. Matched it with grillpanned boneless pork chops and salad. Would put it in the same league as VME Pinot. Quite comparable in quality and price.
