This Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley, Oregon was a grocery store purchase that didn't really click for me. It had a red-purple color and a cranberry/cherry nose. So far so good. However, it was too "cherry cola" on the palate for my taste. I was not excited about it. It was drinkable but not one that I will seek out.

Bad streak--this followed a white wine from the Luberon region that was over-the-hill and a partly oxidized 1996 Carillon Puligny-Montrachet in a .375 ml bottle. Recent postings on Marquis Philips have piqued my curiosity so tonight I will try a 2002 S2 Cabernet Sauvignon although I will probably hold the second and third bottles for awhile.
