Dark cherries and wild blueberries on the nose, more dark fruit with damp earth on the palate with a moderate finish. Good bright ruby in the glass, nothing wimpy there. 13.5% alc/vol. Listed on the winery's website at $36 per, but paid $14 per glass at an upscale restaurant for D's birthday dinner, she with grilled pork tenderloin, I with grilled Gulf coast red snapper, both with Jamaican-style spices. The wine held up very well. Believe I saw the wine listed at $62 for a full bottle.

About to pop a sparkler (Saumur) to cap off the evening.
