2000 Loring Wine Company, Clos Pepe Vineyard, Pinot Noir. Grown partically on the front door of Vandenburg AFB, these grapes are held in high regard by pinot junkies. It made a great Christmas wine for us. Popped it after realizing we only had three wine drinkers among seven adults. The heavily concentrated fruit reaking with almost cloying red cherries, matched wonderfully with the roast goose, potato stuffing, goose gravy, braised red cabbage, green beans almondine, and tropical fruit salad. Very, very nice.

Its a big boy, not your subtle Pinot for sure.
