What wine would you serve with
Jerk Pork Tenderloin with Blackberry Gastrique

- Innkeeper - 12-19-2010

Hi Sullivan and welcome to the Wine Board. Try a Port.

Welcome sssullivan59, I've been making jerk pork tenderloin for many years and have found only 1 wine that really, emphasis on really, pairs well and that's champagne and champagnesqe sparklers. Beer is our choice.

what kind of wine goes good with primerib?

RE: Wine/Food Match - Innkeeper - 12-23-2013

Hi David and welcome to the Wine Board. Look for a mainline Bordeaux (should be able to find one less than $15), or a Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend from California.

A nice, elegant zinfandel....nothing over the top.

I think, wine should not serve with food because its taste is different and it is also effective for brain.
