I had this out at dinner tonight. $23 for the bottle. I enjoyed it. Any opinions one this one?

Sorry for the inactivity on your post Miles but I, for one, have restricted my purchasses of Concannon to their Petite Sirah. The main thing tho is, if you like it drink the sucker. Most of us on the board are leather-tongues anywhoos. WW

No problem winoweenie!

Before I signed up on this board I had kind of hovered and read a lot. I respect the opinion of the knowledgeable people here. I just like to know what other people’s opinions are when find something I like.

Speaking of that, I stopped into a local store this evening. They were having a petty good sale on some stuff so I thought it would be a good opportunity to broaden my horizons.

I have not yet tried any Pinot Noir from Oregon. The guy at the shop suggested the 2002 Firesteed as a good inexpensive introduction to Oregon Ponit.

I picked up one from France as well I chose a bottle of 2002 Bouchard Vin De Pays D'OC. Both retailed for 9.99.

Sounds like you have a good pusher there Miles. Indeed, IMHO, Firesteed is a tasty bottle for the bucks. WW

Other Oregon Pinots you might want to try are Ponzi, Torii Mor, Chehalem, Argyle. Try their basic Pinot Noir first, not a reserve or single vineyard pricey one.

Found the '02 Firesteed for $7.99 today and snagged a few.
